About Catherine

I have 11 years experience as a certified classroom teacher in Texas public school classrooms. I am certified in grades 1 through 8 in general education, in grades K through 5 in bilingual education and in grades 1 through 8 in gifted and talented education. I have a lifelong love of learning. All of my own four children are college graduates. I am trilingual and have had great success teaching young students mathematics by encouraging them to see it as another language. My skills include a deep understanding of the fundamentals of number theory, a recognition of the grammatical connections across different languages, a deep understanding of reading acquisition and an ability to communicate these to young students.
