About Catherine

Hello! I'm Cat :) I am a student at Wake Tech and a part time math tutor for kids! Having fun, spreading joy and creating an environment where kids can feel safe is my ultimate goal. I love learning and am very passionate about fostering the curiosity that kids have about the world around them. I'm in pursuit of a Biology degree to work in wildlife biology and I'm ALWAYS learning something new about animals! I have direct babysitting experience as well as experience in teaching. I once taught gymnastics to preschool aged kids in Chapel Hill, and I currently teach elementary and middle schoolers at my tutoring job. In my free time, I'm also a huge creative: drawing, making music, story telling and more all bring me such joy, and I LOVE to get creative with my kids at work! It's such a lovely way to get them excited about learning. I'd love to foster relationships with local families and bring a blend of babysitting and learning fun to the home!
