About Catherine
Experience: 4 yrs
Learning should be an exciting journey! For the past 4 years, I've been helping students build confidence and develop a genuine love for learning. I have a college degree in Elementary Education and am certified teacher, experienced with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504). My approach involves adapting to your individual learning style. I vary my teaching strategies with visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples and break down complex problems. Open communication is key, so I provide regular updates to parents to reinforce learning at home. I tutor Math, English, Science, Test Preparation, Special Education, Study Skills, and History, for elementary through high school. The most rewarding part of tutoring is witnessing that "aha!" moment when a concept finally clicks. I have a car and am able to tutor at your home, online, the library, a community center, a school, or a coffee shop
