About Catey

Hi! I'm Catey, and I love helping kids feel confident and capable in their schoolwork. I have a background in behavioral health and education, including years of experience teaching and coaching people of all ages. I have worked with elementary age through adolescents in a range of settings and I'm comfortable with kids who need a little extra patience, encouragement, or a different way of explaining things until it clicks. I tailor my approach to each child rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. Whether it's homeschooling support, homework help, reading comprehension, math fundamentals, or study skills, I focus on making learning feel doable, hopefully even fun!. I'm calm, encouraging, and genuinely enjoy watching a kid go from "This doesn't make sense" to "oh, I get it!" I have experience with neurodivergence and gifted students. I hold a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance. I'm available for regular sessions or as-needed help, and I'm happy to work around your family's schedule.
