Hello! My name is Cassy, I am 22 years old. I have worked with typical children as well as children with special needs for 3 years professionally. I worked at The Rise School of Corpus Christi which is an inclusion school. (Meaning I had 5 typical children & 5 children with special needs in my classroom) I worked closely with Driscoll therapists to make IEP's. My background includes being the primary care giver for children with Autism, Down's syndrome, Speech delays, children who are quadriplegic and paraplegic, Global Delays, Angelman syndrome, apraxia, muscular dystrophy, and undiagnosed children to name a few. I also have experience feeding through a g tube and can use Proloquo and LAMP if your child uses an AAC device. I engage children with learning play, sensory experiences, and positive reinforcement. I also know the basics of sign language and I am in school to become an interpreter.
