Hello! I'm Cassie, an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) at Alice Peck Learning Center. I work with kiddos (from ages 3-5) with autism, speech and language delays, emotional disturbances and intellectual disabilities. Before this, I taught at the Foote School for four years as an associate teacher in fourth and fifth grade. During my time at Foote I also taught theater after school and assisted the director in his biannual productions. I have my Master's Degree in elementary education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (2014) where I also majored in theater as an undergraduate (2013). I am currently seeking to support a family in childcare needs. I am an empathetic individual who has a child's best interest at heart! Being goofy, singing songs, and getting creative with kiddos is something that I truly enjoy! In my spare time, I can be found reading and hanging out with my cats. Cassie very quickly got to know my kids. She was very engaging, goofy, and fun, and played with them. She was punctual and able to balance being playful with being the authority figure, ensuring the rules were followed. Avoided screen time and had the kids outside playing or inside crafting the entire time together. I highly recommend her as a caring and engaged care giver. She was never "checked out" or on her phone while the kids played - she was in the mix with them the whole time.
