About Cassandra

Cass has been nothing short of extraordinary for my family since joining us in April 2025. She cared for my two young children five days a week from April to August 2025, and has continued on a consistent three days a week since then, and has been everything I could have hoped for in a caregiver. What stands out most about Cass is how genuinely child-centred she is. She doesn’t simply supervise the kids, she gets to know them as individuals, understands their different personalities, interests and needs, and makes them feel truly seen and cared for. My children have very different temperaments and interests, and Cass has an incredible ability to meet them where they are while keeping both engaged, happy and safe. She is playful, patient, creative and endlessly attentive. This has been especially meaningful for us as a solo-parent family, as my children moved from Australia to Austin shortly before meeting Cass. At a time when everything was new and unfamiliar, she became a steady, warm and reassuring presence in their lives. Over time, she became much more than a nanny, she's truly became part of our family! Cass has also supported school drop-offs and pick-ups, including during periods when I was out of state, which gave me complete peace of mind knowing the children were safe and well cared for. She is a safe and responsible driver and I always felt confident in her judgement. She brings real creativity and joy to the children’s days, whether that’s crafts, library trips, playground adventures, swimming, bike rides, picnics or exploring local parks and nature. She balances structure with flexibility beautifully, following their lead while still ensuring their days feel grounded and engaging. Most importantly, Cass always puts the children first. She has a natural instinct for what they need in the moment; whether that’s comfort, encouragement, or simply joining in their play, and she brings a calm, steady presence to everything she does. It is genuinely bittersweet that my children are now starting school and no longer need the same level of ongoing care. Cass has been such an important part of their early years, and I feel incredibly lucky they had her during this time. I would recommend Cass wholeheartedly to any family looking for a warm, capable and deeply caring nanny.
