About Cassandra

I'm a former middle school ELA and Social Studies teacher and a licensed attorney with a strong background in education, writing, research, and individualized student support. Before practicing law, I taught middle school and worked closely with students of varying abilities and learning styles, including students with IEPs and 504 plans. I focus on helping students strengthen core skills while also building confidence and independence. I especially enjoy working with students on reading comprehension, writing, grammar, social studies, study skills, organization, and test prep. My legal background also gives me extensive experience in analytical reading, research, and clear writing. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and capable, so I tailor my approach to each student. My goal is not simply to help with tonight's homework, but to give students strategies and skills they can continue using in the classroom and beyond.
