Aloha, I have been working with children of all ages for over 5 years with a range of Special Needs. My most challenging Keiki had the following concerns:heart transplant, non-verbal autism, combative and behaviorally challenged. So far in my nursing career working with children makes my heart sing the most. Working in the home as a nurse has also enabled me to step into a skilled nanny role: nourishing them and helping with milestones and just having fun. Helping them feel like a "typical" child and encouraging play as tolerated is critical for both the child and the family. With much love I hope to hear from you soon.
