Hello! My name is Caryn and I am looking for part time babysitting. I am a retired English teacher(I love reading to children), as well as an empty nester. I retired from teaching last June and have taken the time to decide what I wanted to do now, with all my free time. I have babysat for friends children, as well as relatives. Recently, I babysat for a 7-month-old little girl, in Edgewater, while the full time nanny was away on a family emergency. I found that I really enjoyed being around a little one again. I love being outdoors and would make sure your son/daughter gets plenty of fresh air on nice days. There are a variety of parks in the area, where we could walk and play. There is also Van Saun Park, in Paramus, which has a petting zoo.

I know Caryn for over 20 years. We raised our children together, taking many mother/son trips together. I also witnessed her interactions with her young great nephews. When my mother became incapacitated with dementia, 4 years ago, Caryn came to my assistance in a big way, helping me care for my mother. As any one knows, with dementia patients, someone is always the "good" guy, while someone else is always the "bad" guy. Caryn shared these roles with me, having gone through a similar ordeal with her own mother.
