About Carrie

I have loved animals ever since I was a very small child. I grew up with cats, the family dog, the family hamster, the family parakeet, and one year, I even had a guinea pig. When I was 16, I started working on horse farms and earned my dream to have a horse of my own. I had my horse for about 10 years or so and road English and bareback, occasionally Western too. I worked at a farm caring for English Thoroughbred racehorses. From there, I started to work on private farms, a dressage farm with warmblood horses and another one with various kinds of lesson horses. Over the last five years or so, I have had an increased interest in exotic animals. I have a lot of experience in house rabbits (I volunteer for a rabbit rescue and foster for them too). I also care for some wildlife species as well. I am also a certified veterinary assistant and finished a five month internship at an animal hospital. I really love all animals and respect each species for their differences.
