I have spent my entire life helping young children first in a home daycare that my mother ran and then later as a preschool teacher and running my own home daycare and preschool when my own children were young. I have worked in private school, co-op preschool and university settings and have volunteered countless hours at church and at my children's schools in various capacities. I have a passion and understanding for best practices in teaching young children and truly enjoy getting to know who they are and what interests them. I have four boys of my own and understand parenting challenges and needs first-hand. I enjoy sharing my love of play, reading, arts/crafts, cooking, nature, and sports with my young friends. Carrie is absolutely amazing with my kids, and they absolutely love her – – she’s curious, communicative, respectful, adventurous, very capable and so much fun. She has never on her phone while she’s with them so she is completely present to whatever they are doing – – she really has a knack for seeing each kid and entering their world – – I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a babysitter play with my kids as well as Carrie does— she gets into all the games, dress-up, outdoor adventures, imaginative play and reading books, etc. – it’s just a child’s dreamworld to have her around! Plus, she is very aware of good nutrition, lots of movement and prioritizing time outside, to keep the kids happy and healthy, so that is a massive value to any family! If you are looking for someone to really love your kids and be so present to their development and interests— look no further! Your kids lives will be all the richer for it!
