I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a graduate level early childhood endorsement. I am married and raised two very successful sons. I have taught preschool up through pre-first grade and have been a long-term nanny for three families. I truly enjoy babies and children. It is rewarding to see the joy and wonder of how young children interpret the world around them. I delight in getting to know each child's unique personality and temperament and being able to help foster a love of learning in them. I believe that children learn best through hands on experience and by using as many of their senses as possible. I appreciate seeing how they respond when exposed to different types of music, arts and crafts, outside activities, early math concepts, science and reading. I have found with my own children as well as those I have cared for that interacting daily with books and other printed materials greatly increases their reading ability. I love being active outdoors.

Carol has been our nanny for the last 1.5-2 years. We are physicians and unfortunately are getting relocated for a job but are devastated to give her up. She is an INCREDIBLE nanny - extremely trustworthy, reliable, honest, caring, and my daughter absolutely adores her (as do we). She takes great initiative with our daughter and has an extensive background in education which she applies daily- always teaching her letters, numbers, has taught her sign language , and is teaching her emotions. I never worry about my daughter when she is in Carols care. She goes above and beyond what is expected, and I truly don’t know if we’ll ever find anyone that can compare.
