11 yrs as a paraprofessional for Pre-K -2nd... children with Autism teaching ABA /positive reinforcement, & pre-k, K, 1st grade regular ed. After early retirement from the corporate world, I applied for a position as a kindergarten aide.. Being in the classroom for just one week, I felt more alive than I had for a long time in my corporate job. The kids gave me a run for my money & I loved it. I took an interest in special ed & began training in ABA. That was the most challenging & most rewarding thing that I have ever done. I landed a position at a local school & was there for 6 years in pre-k/autism. I was CPR/first aide certified for 6 yrs but it wasn't required in my last school and as a result, I let it lapse. I also cared for twin 18 mo. old girls for over a yr. that I met on this site Then onto another program for toddlers on the spectrum where I worked for 5 years. I retired in 2015 and began caring for children on my own.

Carol was my daughter S.’s nanny for approximately 1 year and we loved having her become a part of our family. Carol was dependable and caring, going above and beyond to engage Stella during playtime with crafts and art work she’d bring from home. She prepared S’s meals and helped tidy her room and play spaces. Overall, when Carol was here we knew S. was in loving hands and was being cared for at the same level my husband and I would. Any family would be lucky to have her!
