I first started tutoring when I got to college and joined a club dedicated to teaching English to Spanish-speaking staff at the college. I loved it so much I ended up becoming one of the coordinators for this club! I not only had to create trainings for other tutors and schedule sessions, but also create a curriculum that combined culture and language goals relevant to my students. In my spare time, I like to surf, hike, and bake. One thing you should know about me is that I am currently completing a masters of education so I can be a bilingual special education teacher! Bilingual special education as a field doesn't quite exist yet but I'm getting this credential in hopes of changing the field.
