Caroline was adored by my mother. When it became clear my mom would not survive, she asked Caroline to stay with her until the end. That she did, sleeping (or more like napping) on a recliner at my mom’s bedside, responding to her every movement or discomfort. Assuring her medications were promptly administered timely and adjusting as instructed by health professionals when conditions warranted adjusting. She caringly and compassionately kept my mom clean, while maintaining her dignity and privacy. She was the one at her side when my mom finally passed. We could not have gotten thru this without her.
