About Caroline
I would love to support your loved one as they live with Dementia/Alzheimer's. When my grandma was living with us while I was in high school, her Alzheimer's would cause her to frequently become confused and agitated. Oftentimes, I was the only one that was able to calm her down. I found that music really helped to soothe her, so I frequently played my flute, irish penny whistle, or sang to her. I have a bachelor's degree in music and sociology from Notre Dame, and I am currently getting my master's in social work at UIC. I believe the combination of music and social work is a really special combination when working with adults experiencing memory loss.
