About Carmen

I am currently a preserver, multi-subject credential, teacher with National University, as well as in final year of graduate school for a Master's in Education. I am a previously a substitute teacher, primarily in the special education classrooms. I specialize in the unique challenges that face military students when transitioning from school to school. I am well versed in California content standards for K-12 students, as well as the Common Core curriculum. In addition to working with students, I am committed to helping family stay engaged with their student's education and current education policies. I am a former PTA President at three elementary schools, school site council president for two separate school, as well as parent representative on a district level education council for Department of Defense Schools.
