Once I graduated from Binghamton University in 2002, I started working for a non-profit agency making sure that low income mothers had the proper assistance to provide a thriving environment for their children. I followed that position with working as a teacher's assistant at a facility for students that were diagnosed with a range of different disabilities. This was one of the most challenging roles, but one of the most rewarding. It required me come up with different ideas and to be more enthusiastic to keep all of the students focused on the material being taught. Patience, love, understanding, communication and perseverance were just some of the attributes I developed while working with my students. These experiences gave me the foundation I needed for future positions. I have had the opportunity to care for children of different ages and needs. I know how important it is to develop the child's full potential at each stage of their life. I am fully committed to be part of their development.

Carmen was a god send when we had our first child. She came to help in July-Sept 2010 and every summer after that. She was the extra pair of hands that we needed in our home. Carmen rocked our baby to sleep, took walks with her, cleaned the house, did laundry...All the things that I could not do. As my daughter grew, so did their adventures: arts and crafts, daily nature walks, reading, dancing, cooking, dress up.. Carmen got right into it and focused all her attention on my daughter. Which was a great help when our second baby was born in July 2013. Carmen stepped right in and kept our oldest happily occupied while mom and new baby bonded. Carmen has been a valuable asset to our family and we remain great friends.
