My experience with being a care giver all comes from personal encounters in my life. I was raised in a single parent household, and that started my journey towards caring for others by taking on the responsibility of helping raising a family from an early age. My grandpa eventually came to live with us and this brought about me being able to handle changing diapers, dementia, loss of sight, loss of hearing, and meal preparation & feeding. Not long after, my mom had a stroke and is now permanently paralyzed and requires the aid of a wheelchair. Having to care for my mom is probably one of the harder experiences to go through, but it's brought me new opportunities that have shaped me to be the caring person I am today. I also recently begun to volunteer with special needs teens in my community. I have a passion to take care of others, and I'd be grateful to be able to explore my opportunities within my passion.
