Children are my expertise. I've been a nanny several families for over a decade. I adore the work I do, and the bonds I have made with my previous families have enriched my life in ways I can't even describe. I hope to continue this trend for as long as I can!

We had Carmen as a nanny for just over a year for our three kids and they were 4 years old, 2 years old, and 4 months when Carmen started. Our children have very different personalities and needs and Carmen was able to reach each of them and give them the care they needed. The baby, of course, went through rapid development during her time with Carmen and Carmen was able to constantly adjust and meet her needs. Additionally, my eldest, a 5 year old boy, has so much energy and she was able to keep him entertained and challenged. She would take up whatever his current interest was (legos, chess, painting, forts, etc) and ensure those were part of his day. Last, my 3 year old daughter adored Carmen. Carmen would connect with her over all things girly. She also helped my daughter during this formative part of her life build a strong self-esteem base. She even taught her how to swim! Carmen quickly became part of our family and though our lives are changing with the kids going to school, we will continue to keep her a part of our lives. She has been wonderful. She is patient, kind, communicative and loving. Each time she had our children I was confident our kids were feeling loved and were well taken cared for. We couldn't recommend her more. 

Carmen is a wonderful sweetheart. As a first time parent, we had a lot of questions and thoughts around starting to ask for child care. Carmen took the time to come by and meet our little one, answer all our questions, and communicated with us through every step of the interaction. While we haven’t hired Carmen, it was only our availability and schedule didn’t align. I wish it had though as Carmen is EXACTLY the type of person I would want to care for my child. 

I highly recommend Carmen as a nanny! She has been caring for my two boys (now aged 1.5 and 3) for over a year now and has consistently provided a fun, nurturing, and loving environment for them. We hired Carmen at a time when I was sick with an autoimmune disease flare and her help with caring for my then 4 month old and 2 year old was immeasurable. She understands child development and responds to my both of my sons' crazy baby and toddler behaviors in a respectful and gentle way. Carmen has helped with everything from bottle feeding to teaching different topics we've touched on in some light homeschooling. I trust her completely with my kids' safety and overall well-being. The only reason we are parting ways is because I am no longer sick and we don't need the help anymore. We will miss her immensely!

I hired Carmen to help get my daughter to daycare in the mornings. Although it was only for a couple of hours a week, Carmen became a huge part of our family. My daughter absolutely loved her. My daughter can be very strong-willed and have big tantrums, but Carmen was so patient with her and I never worried about my daughter when she was there. I also noticed a big difference in my daughter's manners and how she spoke to us and others. It was a very positive experience having Carmen help us. We will definitely continue to have her help us for date nights and any other time we need a sitter. I would 100 percent recommend Carmen to anyone!

Carmen cared for our son from age 3 months until he was nearly 4 years old. She was unerringly loving, set clear boundaries, helped our family through sleep training, bottle transitions, potty training, tantrums, starting preschool and anticipating a new sibling with grace. Additionally our schedule was crazy during this time as I worked swing and overnight shifts. Carmen was an angel helping out overnight and into the wee hours as needed. She became a part of our family seamlessly and remains a valued friend. We cannot recommend her highly enough!

Carmen worked for our family for this past school year, caring for our three girls (twin 6 year olds and a 13 year old). Our kids absolutely adored her and she seemed to genuinely love them, too. She was able to connect with each of them in unique ways. My older daughter draws, and Carmen was able to give her artistic feedback and pointers to help her improve. In addition to caring for our kids, Carmen had light housekeeping responsibilities and handled additional errands like grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, handling returns, picking up dry cleaning, etc. I will gladly talk to anyone considering hiring Carmen to provide a more thorough referral. 

Carmen interviewed with us and she was amazing. We ended up picking another caregiver but it was at no fault of Carmen. She immediately bonded with our child and within 1 minute! I know that she will make a family extremely happy. I wish we could of given the position to her. It was an extremely hard choice but I wanted to write a review to voice our appreciation of Carmen and let others know of her great qualities.

I wanted to send an updated review for Carmen, as we will be having to part ways with her.  My husband and I are relocating the family back to California, and the hardest part has to be leaving Carmen.  She has nannied for our son since he was just 4 months old, and he is now 16 months.  In that time, she has developed such an amazing bond with him; she is his buddy, his teacher and his caregiver.  She has had such a big role in his major developments, and I am so proud to say because of her dedication to his learning he is more advanced than most 2-3 year olds.  She has taught him his colors, shapes, basic sign language, sleep soothing and most recently, she has been potty training him (at a year and a half!).  Our pediatrician, family and friends are all amazed at how advanced he is.  She teaches him manners, right and wrong, and how to be kind.  I work from home and would always hear her singing to him, reading to him, chasing his around the house, comforting him and most of all loving him.  She has an amazing amount of patience, even more than I do as a mother.  Carmen helped me through a huge transition in my life, becoming a mother of our first son, then through my pregnancy with our daughter.  She kept my house clean, was always punctual and reliable, stayed late when we needed her and even helped out on weekends.  I could write forever about how grateful we were to have found Carmen, she will be truly missed.  Any family would be blessed to have her.

Carmen has been an absolute blessing to our family. After hiring 2 other nannies from Care.com, who unfortunately did not work out, we found Carmen. Still apprehensive about the quality of care we had found through Care.com, we asked her to start as a trial for a 3-day period - and needless to say, by the end of day 3 my husband and I knew that she was the perfect match we were looking for!

I have the luxury to work from home, where I am never too far away from Carmen and my 4-month-old son. It brings me such joy to hear how she interacts with him and takes a genuine interest in his stimulation and development. She has come to work several times with new children's songs that she had downloaded to her laptop the night before, so she would have it ready to entertain my son with that day. She also pays close attention to his developments, letting me know when he progresses onto the next milestone. Most importantly, she pays attention to his health, informing me if anything seems to be out of the ordinary with him.

With the two previous nannies we hired, I felt as if I had to micro-manage their routine with my son, hindering what I was able to get done with work during the time they were here. With Carmen, I am 100% worry-free and able to focus on my job for the hours she is with us. I am confident that my son is being cared for with the utmost attention, love and care.

I plan to keep Carmen with our family as long as possible, so this is not a review written due to our parting ways. My husband and I are taking a 2-week vacation with our son in October, where Carmen is looking to do some care-on-call jobs in our absence. I am happy to take a call from any family looking for a reference on Carmen, where she could be a good care on call fit. Your children are in the very best hands with her!

Carmen was a strong candidate for us. She knew a lot about both of our children's ages and what they would currently be interested in and caring for them. She was on time and seemed very professional. I was unable to get a hold of any of her references though and we had another nanny we really liked too so went that route.

Carmen wrote a great email introduction and she is one of the top candidates we are considering. Very professional and provided great information. As we continue through the process, I will update with more review details, but in reading her other reviewer, I found it was unfair and not a reflection of my experience with Carmen at all.

I posted a job needing a nanny for my twins. She wrote to me, "when would you expect your nanny to sleep?" First of all, I live in Texas and she is in Louisiana, so why she is concerned, I do not know. Second, the job is for part time, only four evenings a week. Third, this website isn't a forum for shenanigans, rather a resource tool to help people connect. The email seemed juvenile and would concern me in hiring her. Luckily, I am not close by but thought others who might consider her should make sure to check her maturity level in an interview first.
