About Carmen

Carmen is a true gem! She is an absolute natural with kids. She has done morning care three times a week with our baby and toddler and we couldn’t have more positive things to say about her childcare. She’s a true toddler whisperer—my shy, generally selective about people toddler is THRILLED when she arrives and he leaves me to go play with Carmen immediately (which is unheard of with my usually clingy kiddo). Carmen makes inventive games and is so good at entering his world and interests to really engage him. She is also amazing with infants—she talks to my baby, does mirroring of sounds/faces and labeling objects and all the things that help build baby’s communication skills. She seems to be incredibly experienced at understanding baby’s needs and temperament and it really shows in how comfortable my baby is with her. I am generally pretty picky about how my kids are interacted with, and I have had only gratitude and praise for the kind, engaging, skillful ways Carmen interacts with our kids. She is also just a pleasure to be around and friendly, non-judgmental, funny—a delightful person to spend time with. I really can’t say enough good things!
