About Carmen

Over the past year and a half, she has managed the chaotic world of infant/toddler twin boys with boundless patience, energy, and genuine love. The twins run to greet Carmen as she enters our home every morning. Many times they start yelling her name from the window as they see her car pull up to the house. Carmen handles all aspects of our boys' daily care with organization and efficiency. Her responsibilities include: • Meal Preparation & Nutrition: She prepares and feeds the boys breakfast and lunch daily including cooking healthy meals from scratch when leftovers aren't available. She cleans up after all meals (and they make a mess). • Daily Maintenance & Hygiene: Carmen handles the boys' laundry, daily baths, gets them ready for the day and ensures that all of their play areas and eating spaces are cleaned up. • Development & Enrichment: Carmen plays with the boys, reads to them, makes up interactive games, takes them on daily walks, and manages outdoor play. She also takes them to "Mommy and Me" style classes to ensure they are socialized and enriched. • Routine & Structure: Carmen has been a savior when it comes to sleep schedules, successfully getting active twins down for their necessary naps with minimal fuss, which is something we struggle with when she is not here. She sets age-appropriate boundaries that the children adhere to. Our children respect and love her. From the outset, Carmen was very comfortable caring for the twin boys when they were infants, which can be very overwhelming given the constant demands of two young babies at once (feeding, diapers, tending to crying). As they became toddlers, she seamlessly tailored her approach to fit their needs. While she primarily watches our twin boys, when our third older son is home, she also takes care of him. She is equally loving and responsive to our four year old demonstrating her ability to handle children of various ages. What truly sets Carmen apart is her reliability and her heart. She has never been late. She balances the structure that toddlers need with the warmth and affection they crave and the boys adore her. Carmen is trustworthy, proactive, deeply loving, and uniquely equipped to handle high-energy, multi-child households. She has our highest possible recommendation.
