About Carmelo

I am an experienced educator, outdoor/recreation leader, and U. S. Air Force veteran with over 7 years' experience working with young children, teens, and adults in outdoor and indoor settings. I am trained in inquiry and nature-based mentoring via a social-emotional learning lens. I strive to help the people I am mentoring gain a greater sense of belonging and empowerment while expanding their awareness of the natural world that exists all around them. I am also passionate about mentoring youth in movement practices such as team sports and martial arts, in which I have more than 10 years of training experience.
