About Carly

As my wife's maternity leave was nearing an end, we explored more than a dozen options for care of our first and only child. When we finally met Carly, we instantly knew we'd found the person whom we could trust with our son. Our instincts were correct. Carly has cared for our little boy for over two years, and she has always gone above and beyond to provide the best care for him. As first-time parents, we never knew what to expect, what was normal, what was worth worrying about, etc. With her experience and her loving touch, Carly has been so helpful in shepherding our son (and us) through the major milestones. We'll always think about Carly when we reflect upon the first roll-over, the onset of crawling, the first steps, the first words. She has been such a key influence in his development. She even participated in weekly speech therapy sessions with him, and diligently coached him through the "homework" between sessions. Our son no longer requires speech therapy, and we know that Carly is a big part of that success. Carly has helped us in so many other ways too. We have a dog with ongoing medical issues, and she has been so good about caring for him during the day. She has always taken it upon herself to do the little chores around our house that she knows we don't have time to get to. I am personally a major worrier, but with Carly at the house, I've had much less to worry about. As we go through life, we meet a precious few people who are truly special. Carly is one of those. She is such a thoughtful person, who consistently exhibits unassailable character and wisdom beyond her years. On an intellectual level we know it's time for our son to be with other children in a classroom setting. On an emotional level, though, we are broken-hearted that he will not be with Carly every day. We will forever be indebted to Carly for the gifts she's given our son, and our family. She will forever be a part of our story. The children she cares for are truly blessed.
