About Carly

Over the past 10 years, I have worked in various roles with children ages 1-16 in mostly outdoor and forest settings. Some of these roles have included being a backpacking summer camp instructor, a Waldorf preschool assistant teacher, a forest preschool teacher, and most recently, being a Para-educator, working with kids with disabilities in a public school. One of my biggest life-long passions has been to deeply understand childhood along with the wants and needs of young children. I have spent countless hours studying "respectful parenting" modes of interacting with kids, which deeply influences how I show up as a nanny. In order to go deeper into this inquiry, I studied Alternative Education during my time at The Evergreen State College where I received my Bachelor's of Arts in 2019.
