About Carla

Carla was wonderful with my children, providing excellent care and being generally easy to work with. However, about a month into her employment, she began canceling shifts at the last minute or with very little notice. After two weeks of frequently missing her scheduled days, she called to apologize and explained that she was dealing with health issues but wished to resume caring for my children the following week. Appreciating her past performance, I agreed. She was scheduled to care for my children on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday but quit unexpectedly on Sunday evening. Subsequently, I requested the return of my car seats, house keys, and the children's daycare keys. Carla did not respond and blocked both me and my husband. We were without our belongings for four days and had to inform the daycare that she still possessed their key, which was a security concern and costly for them to resolve. Despite reaching out one last time, Carla remained unresponsive, forcing me to file a police report with her identification information. The next day, our items were returned, but this experience significantly marred what had been an otherwise positive babysitting relationship. My children were also notably affected. Despite her excellent care, the way Carla ended her employment raises serious concerns, and I would not subject my children to such an unreliable caregiver again.
