About Carla

I spend one to three months in Florida each winter and am seeking a short-term tutoring or homeschool-support arrangement. I work remotely for part of the day, so I'm especially interested in an arrangement that could combine tutoring with accommodations or a quiet workspace. My two children are also in Florida but do not need to accompany me, as I have separate arrangements for them. I homeschool my own kids in grades 3 and 5. I have a Master's degree in Counseling, teach at the college level, homeschool my own children, and am a mother of four (two now adults). I can assist elementary through college students with any subject needs. I'm patient, encouraging, and skilled at adapting explanations to fit how each student learns. I can also help families establish homeschool routines, organize assignments, monitor progress, and support students who struggle with attention, motivation, or frustration.
