About Carissa

I'm a warm & nurturing mama who will strive to understand your values & build trust by fostering an environment that honors/upholds those values. My first job was babysitting & I have remained passionate about children. Aside from raising my daughter, I have many years of experience working w/ children in various capacities including nannying, teaching ballet, children's programs & aiding in school settings. I am currently working on my Doula certification & am excited to utilize all wisdom from this education in every care opportunity. While my Doula training focusses most on infants, I am confident & experienced in caring for all ages. I spent a year working in a hospital setting where I supported the staff in all emergency codes & have practiced CPR on many patients, which built confidence in handling emergency situations outside of the hospital. I celebrate the uniqueness of every child & will focus on supporting you in maintaining a healthy atmosphere where growth can flourish.
