About Carissa

Hello, I am a mother of one with a degree in elementary education. I have worked for 12 years in the childcare and education field. I have taught in preschool and kindergarten settings, worked in Christian schools, and have nannied for multiples, individual children, and up to three children at a time. I have nannied for families with different styles of parenting but when I'm given free reign I enjoy incorporating several educational styles. I like to customize to the individual child using some Montessori, classroom tools, and interactive play to encourage milestones to be achieved naturally and in a fun way. I'm huge on outdoor play and am known as an adventure nanny. I'm preferably looking for a two to three day a weekbut would consider another schedule. My 20-month-old will be here but would like to incorporate two more children for the benefit of social learning. It's a private preschool/tutoring type of style combined with a more relaxed atmosphere similar to Montessori.
