About Carissa

Hi! Im Carissa, im 23 yesrs old, a first-generation college student & healthcare professional with approximately six years of experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, hospice, and private-duty caregiving. Throughout my career, I've gained hands on experience supporting individuals with complex medical conditions, assisting with daily living activities, medication administration, and coordinating care. My experience has also involved advocating for patients, communicating with healthcare professionals, and helping individuals and their families navigate difficult medical circumstances I was nominated twice for emoloyee of the month, and won! I also won a nomination for being a mentor to other healthcare professionals in LTC.
