About Carissa

Hi! I'm Carissa, and I would love to be considered as a tutor. I'm a certified teacher looking to provide tutoring services over the summer, but would also be open to providing services during the school year on nights and/or weekends. Nurturing young minds is a true passion of mine. My seven years of teaching experience have solidified my desire to positively impact children's lives. I'm a friendly and caring individual with a Master's Degree in Special Education and Literacy and a Bachelor's Degree in Adolescent Education-Social Studies. I firmly believe that every child can learn; they just learn in different ways and on different days. I am trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid. I believe in fostering growth and development through engaging activities. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how I could create the best learning environment for your family.
