About Carey

I'd describe my personality as being cheerful, kind, and firm... and fun. I like tutoring because I love watching children overcome hurdles, teaching them qualities like determination and perseverance, and cheering on their successes. I'm looking for a job where I can work one on one or in small groups, helping children master skills and accomplish goals. I started tutoring when I was in college, continuing it while I was a nanny, and then picked it back up a handful of years ago. In my spare time, I like to exercise, specifically walking and biking, gardening and cooking. One thing you should know about me is that I am very organized, a hard worker, who loves education and working with students/children.
