I am very passionate about helping seniors. I helped my parents when they were alive. My mother lived to be 89. I made sure she had groceries and helped her with food preparation. I stayed with her when she was in the shower to make sure she did not fall. I took her to doctors appointments as needed. Being a senior and living alone can be a lonely time for individuals. Just sitting down and having conversations with my parents was so very important. I love elderly people. They need someone to be there for them in their time of need. I worked with an elderly woman several days a week. My job was to relieve her daughter, so she could have some time to herself. I made sure the elderly woman was fed breakfast and lunch. I also checked her blood sugar daily. I often chatted with her, and we did puzzles daily, which she loved. I was a companion as well as a caregiver.
