About Cara

Hello! My name is Cara. I'm a recently retired elementary school teacher who still loves to be around children! We have raised 5 children, homeschooled all of them, during which I also taught art classes . I taught Kindergarten through 2nd grade for years and loved it! I am a huge believer in play based education. I love incorporating literature and art into every day learning. I enjoy working with children being the age I am because I believe I'm old enough to have some in wisdom and knowledge yet young enough to get down on the floor to play and keep up with their abundant energy! I consider myself to have the ability to multitask when needed, pay attention to detail, have patience and consistency, and consider it an honor to see the unique gifts the Lord has given each child and encourage those gifts to be used!
