Worked with my next door neighbor who had Alzheimer’s. Was flexible with her time in order to provide care. Pleasant and thoughtful about his needs as he changed over time. As a retired RN of over 50 years respected her level of care and observations and notifying family and had a good relationship with them as well as my neighbor. Encouraged food and fluids and took him out to eat and other activities as he was interested and tolerated. Remained in contact with the family and client after he was hospitalized and helped organize a plan of care if he was able to return home. She is the kind of care giver I hope is available for me if I need one as I age.
