I'd describe my personality as steady, kind and intuitive I like connecting with kids in a way that brings them joy, whether that's creating, learning or working through hard moments of growth. Every child deserves time and attention in order to thrive later in life and I'm always happy to be present in that way. I'm looking for a job that has somewhat flexible hours (I am a college student) and a family who could use more of a regular babysitter I started working with kids when I began babysitting in high school. I have always been a built in babysitter to my 5 younger siblings. One thing you should know about me is I come from a big family and as the as the oldest child, I am naturally responsible when it comes childcare. My skills include calm under crisis/pressure, good attunement (I listen to what kids say instead of simply telling them things). I like to build relationships instead of being just "the babysitter."

If I could give more than 5 stars on this review, I would. Cara is exceptional! She has a natural gift with children and connects with them in a way that feels both fun and nurturing. She is incredibly creative and comes up with engaging, age-appropriate activities. From arts and crafts, imaginative play, games, puzzles, baking, playing guitar, and reading stories…my kiddos always know they have something to look forward to when Cara is coming over to the house. What truly sets Cara apart from other caregivers is her attentiveness and gentle spirit. She notices the small things that many tend to miss: when a child is feeling overwhelmed, needs encouragement, or just needs to sit in the middle of the floor for a hug. Cara is so genuine. She is extremely patient, kind, and very thoughtful. My 4 children light up when she arrives; usually with the youngest peeking through the window to catch the exact moment her car hits the driveway! Bedtime routine is usually tricky with my younger two and can be a lengthy process, but Cara always makes them feel safe and loved. If you and your family are seeking a caregiver, you can feel confident knowing your child(ren) are with one of the very best. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have her.
