Experience: 13 yrs
Welcome Families, My name is Andrew, and I use they/them pronouns. I bring 13 years of enriching experience in childcare and development, including roles like nannying, early intervention, tutoring, teaching assistance, and child/family advocacy. I truly love helping children explore their interests and develop practical skills, and I aim to create a warm, safe, and inclusive space where all families and children, regardless of backgrounds, ages, or abilities, feel welcomed and valued. When I work with families, I prioritize open communication, safety, and teamwork, so everyone feels comfortable, secure, and well-informed. Thank you so much for considering me.
We cannot recommend Andrew highly enough. They cared for our daughter as a full-time (40hr/week) nanny from the time she was 5 months to 14 months old. During that time they became an incredibly important part of our family. They are a true natural with children and clearly view caregiving as a calling rather than just a job. The love, patience, and attention they showed our daughter was evident every day. They taught her basic sign language, which enabled her to communicate early, reducing frustration and helping her express her needs and thoughts. Andrew was wonderful at establishing and maintaining healthy routines, including naps, meals, snacks, reading, and playtime. They often prepared meals for our daughter and consistently kept all child-related areas organized and clean, including the high chair, play area, diaper station, and baby clothes dresser. They were also an excellent partner to us as parents, regularly sharing milestone updates and offering advice on healthy habits and development. They were adept at using a tracking app for feeding, diaper changes, and naps, which gave us peace of mind during the workday. In addition, they regularly took our daughter on enriching outings to places like the library and pool, always prioritizing safety and engagement. Though we are nervous first-time parents, we felt we could trust them early on. They were flexible and supportive when our work schedules required travel or adjusted hours, which we greatly appreciated. We feel lucky to have had them care for our child during such an important stage of her development, and we recommend them to any family looking for a caring, trustworthy, and capable nanny.
