About Candace

Hello Families, As a retired special education teacher of 17 years, I have multiple years of experience working with students at the elementary through middle school levels. It's always been my passion to meet students right where they're at by strengthening levels of capacity through capitalizing on their strengths and compassionately addressing their challenges. I have over 15 years of tutoring experience, specializing in the area of Dyslexia, so that's always a bonus when your childcare facilitator brings this level of a love for reading to your home. I'm looking to work for a kind and considerate family that enjoys the outdoors and wants to provide extension activities, whether they be educational or community-based, for their children! Education and a loving care of children has been my legacy, so I really want to work for a family that values enriching experiences for their children that lead to a love of learning through increased curiosity and self-confidence.
