About Callista

Hi there! I'm Callista, a previous educator and hopefully your family's future helper/caregiver! I have three years of experience in Title I & II education working with students of all ages. Most recently, I spent an academic year in a self-contained special education classroom where I worked with students of varying behaviors and diagnoses (autism, Down syndrome, traumatic brain injury, etc). I'm ambitious, optimistic, and caring, and would be happy to work with any and all kinds of kids! I enjoy the teachable moments that appear in childcare. While working in education, I of course engaged in academic teaching with my students, but I found that I have a deep love for teaching kids life and social skills. In my spare time, I love engaging in any and all creative hobbies! I love to craft, crochet, paint, and I especially love singing. When I'm not busy with those hobbies, I love cuddling up on the couch with my cats to enjoy a good movie.
