Callie interviewed great and said all the right things however she over promised and under delivered. She showed up on time every day but we had some big issues that I just couldn’t overlook. Callie never initiated any play with the kids (1.5 and 3.5)and acted like playing with them was a chore. Our son (3.5) definitely picked up on it and wasn’t his usual silly self around her. We also had an issue with diaper changes for our daughter (1.5). Her diaper would be changed when she woke up and then Callie wouldn’t change her again for the rest of the day (about 6 hours until I got home). My husband asked her to change our daughter more often and 2 days later I came home to her being unchanged again. When I asked about it later that day Callie lied about changing her. Our son went a full day without anything to drink and I had to remind her to make sure the kids were given something to drink while they were with her. Finally our son’s preschool informed me that he came to school without a coat on a day where the temperature was in the low 30s. Callie had previously been informed that his class goes outside shortly after drop off and to dress him appropriately for the weather. Ultimately we had to terminate with Callie because I felt my children were not receiving adequate care.
