About Calista

During this past school year, I was a Student Success Coach and After School Facilitator for City Year New Year . My responsibilities included, but were not limited to 1:1 and small group tutoring during day school and afterschool; collaborating with teachers and school staff to create inclusive learning environments; focus on social-emotional development and skills for students; design and lead afterschool activities; serve as a responsible liaison between students, families, and school personnel, maintaining open communication to address challenges and celebrate successes. In this position I've worked with 3-5th graders, and have provided support for kindergarten-2nd grade when needed. Prior to this I was a babysitter for a variety of ages, ranging from toddlers to 14-year-olds. I was also a camp counselor, where I worked with grades 3-8. Lastly, I tutored 3rd and 4th graders to prep for testing through a local elementary school in my home town.
