About Caleb

Caleb studied psychology with an emphasis on early childhood at Stanford University and is currently attending the Teachers College in New York for a master's in developmental psychology. He worked at Stanford's Bing Nursery school and has three years experience in early childhood education. Caleb holds a child-centered teaching philosophy and stresses the importance of supporting children find confidence, independence, and motivation in life. Additionally, he recognizes the importance of firm, but kind limiting setting with young children. One of Caleb's strongest beliefs is that children should not always be provided with the solution (in conflict with siblings, creative exploration, etc.), but rather be allowed a healthy amount of struggle and independent learning. Children need to scrape a knee and know that it's okay to cry and struggle. Outside of his teaching philosophies, Caleb can best be described as a gentle giant at 6'3".
