About Caitlin

Hello! My name is Caitlin and I am special education teacher, tutor, and babysitter. I have several years experience working with children, including children with a wide range of disabilities. I strongly believe that a quality education and quality care are the fundamental rights of all humans. I currently teach math in a self-contained classroom. I adhere to goals, breaking tasks into smaller parts, working with manipulatives, gamifying material, and helping children recognize patterns in math all to deepen their understanding of number sense and other mathematical foundational skills. In the summer, my hours are flexible and I am able to maintain communication with parents/guardians to discuss progress and next steps during the tutoring process.
