About Caitlin

I've always been around babies and kids ever since I was one. My mother runs a daycare and I took to helping her as soon as I could. When I as old enough my mom would let me help her after school with little tasks that started with entertaining and then grew into changing diapers and feeding. It became second nature for me to have a baby on my lap the minute I was done with school. I knew that one day I would want to be a teacher so I could always be around kids. I went to school for theater. After earning my BA I went on to earn my Masters in Theater Education. Over the years, I have directed my community theater and worked for theater camps in the surrounding area. My goal is to teach theater so that I can share my passion with others. I have babysat and taught kids of all ages. I recently worked as a teaching artist working with students from kindergarten through fifth grade. I believe that play is the work of childhood and every child should have that opportunity. Whether that means going on a treasure hunt adventure in your own backyard, playing dress up, creating a piece of art from macaroni, or having a blanket picnic inside on a rainy day.
