The past few months I have been a full-time assistant teacher at the Center for Spectrum Services where I work closely with children on the Autism Spectrum. I can work with any age between 3-12 years old, all with different levels of functioning and different needs. Throughout the day I may work with up to 12 different students, working on their reading, writing, math, social skills, and fine/gross motor skills. It has opened up this population for me as a possibility to work with when I get my masters in Speech-Language Pathology because of how incredible the experience has been!
