About Caelyn

Hi! I'm Caelyn. I'm a rising senior at New College Franklin, a Christian classical liberal arts school. I was homeschooled all the way through, and have been a dedicated straight A student my whole life. My preferred subject is English Literature/Writing, but I'm comfortable tutoring in a lot of different subjects. I've been tutoring on and off since I was in middle school, and have helped with or supervised homework for each of the 7 families I've nannied for. My senior year of high school through my gap year I was an in-home homeschool teacher and nanny for a family of five girls. I've taught preschool, kindergarten, first, second, fifth, and sixth grade. I was taught and teach primarily under the Charlotte Mason method, which prefers practical, real education - no busywork or fluff. I believe that there is too much in this world that is good and true and beautiful to waste our time and efforts on lesser things.
