About Burton

I was an art tutor throughout high school with younger kids (age 4-10), and then an art teacher at a theater camp in the summer of 2023. In college, I worked with students on their essays and grant applications as a tutor in the Student Academic Affairs Board. I will be reliable in this position because I genuinely love watching students grow and feel confident in their reading and writing skills. Reading and writing are two of my passions and I would love to help contribute to higher literacy rates for students. I have also worked closely with my younger sister throughout the years who has dyslexia and often struggles with reading comprehension. This experience has given me insight into how many students experience reading and writing and has strengthened my communication skills. Overall, I consider myself to be a patient, thoughtful, and goal oriented tutor. I'm excited to work with your student!
