I first got into elder care while working in a medical office with mostly older patients. Talking with them felt natural-conversations flowed, and they always seemed comfortable with me. Whether I was helping with insurance or just listening, I realized how much these moments mattered to me. My background in running a household, organizing spaces, cooking, and keeping things tidy has prepared me well for caregiving. I've learned that patience, kindness, and simply being present can make the biggest difference. What draws me to elder care is the chance to build real relationships during a tender season of life. I want to show up with respect, dignity, and compassion-especially when family can't always be there. I also love card games, reading, cooking, and crocheting-great ways to connect and stay engaged. I'm especially drawn to serving widows, single women, and couples in their late 60s-90s who deserve care that truly honors their lives and stories.
