About Brooke

Hi! My name is Brooke and I'm an incoming junior at UCSB! I am living in Santa Barbara over the summer and am looking for families that need support with childcare (hanging out/doing activities, summer camp pickups, play dates, going to extracurricular events, you name it!) I currently babysit for two sweet boys, 3 and 6 years old, but have a lot of spare time as I am not taking summer classes and would love to help out others! I find spending time with kids to be deeply fulfilling. I cherish being a safe space for them; someone they can be their authentic selves around! Celebrating their joy and offering them a shoulder to lean on heals my inner child. I am a very friendly, empathetic person, and I enjoy doing creative activities and spending time outside-- especially with kids! At UCSB, I currently study political science, but I plan to pursue a career in the mental health field post graduation, likely in children's therapy!
